Meet our teammember:

Anthony Pinas – Director
Anthony Pinas is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and entrepreneur. He is the founder of the Build Your Dream foundation for urban talent and the originator of the intercultural dance week and exchange Culture Clash.
Anthony loves a positive vibe and is proud of all the talented dancers who are coming to Amsterdam for his ‘baby’ Culture Clash, already for four years. Anthony is the owner of OnPoint Dancelab, the urban dance school in Diemen and IJburg, and the BYD music studio in Diemen.

Denden Karadeniz – Creative Director
Denden Karadeniz started as a breakdancer and trained in the US and Australia to study a combination between breakdance and modern dance. He has shown his innovative vision to the public during several tv programs and also in theaters with different urban / modern dance companies.
With his roots in the urban battle scene, commercial experience on television and his love for theater, he founded Ground Zero Dance Company, the first urban contemporary dance company in the Netherlands. For Culture Clash 4.0 Denden will be the creative director for the final show.

Juvat Westendorp – Host
Juvat Westendorp is one of the most discussed performers in the urban scene. He performed in shows of the Scapino Ballet and productions of Isabelle Beernaert. Besides he is a dancer, Juvat is also a tv personality and a successful actor.
Juvat was our host already in 2015 and in 2017 and this year he is very enthusiastic about being our host again. Juvat will be at the introduction, he will follow the dancers of Culture Clash 4.0 behind the scenes and will be the presenter of the try out and the final show.

Ingrid Baars – Project Support
Ingrid Baars organizes the Culture Clash projects and runs OnPoint Dancelab together with Anthony. Ingrid is board member of the Build Your Dream foundation.
During Culture Clash 4.0 Ingrid will be responsible for all general arrangements and will be the point of contact for the coaches and dancers.

Romane Meissonier – Photography & Social Media
Romane Meissonnier is a French creative living in Amsterdam. She grew up being drawn to art through ballet, acting and music classes and later on started liking technical disciplines.
Romane is currently studying for her Bachelor in Audio Engineering. She loves being in the studio and recording for artists. Besides audio, she is also enjoying visuals, she has been doing photography since 2016 and lately she started to work on film productions. Romane loves being around art and creatives, she thinks there’s no better place to be!

Alex Benton – Music for Show
Alex Benton, is a dancer, teacher, music producer and artist. Alex loves to create whether it’s music, choreography or writing. He feels being able to create is a blessing beyond measure.
In 2016 Alex produced the music for the final show, and this year he will do that again for the Culture Clash 4.0 final show.

Ruth Nahumury – van de Poll – Coach No Labels Inc.
Ruth Nahumury van de Poll is the founder of No Labels Inc. No Labels Inc. guides individuals, teams and organizations in successfully collaborating with a diversity of people. Based on the conviction that inclusion is the key to creating diverse, high-performing teams and organizations.
People who feel seen and appreciated are more likely to contribute successfully to the organization and to have meaning for the people around them. Ruth believes in a world where people and not the labels are central.

Thomas Jansen – Coach Acting
Thomas Jansen is an actor and model and he also likes to dance hiphop and salsa. Thomas studied for musical actor at the University of Miami. Thomas has a major role in the American tv serie Hunter Street on Nickelodeon. Hunter Street is an English-language remake of the Dutch Nickelodeon series De Ludwigs.
Furthermore Thomas is playing in theaters and in movies, and is member of the jury of “All Together Now” on RTL4. Thomas was an acting coach in 2017 and this year he will be the acting coach again, for the dancers to improve their expression and performance for the final show.

Martina Cumbo – Coach Italy
Martina Cumbo is the coach for the Italian team. This b-girl was already part of Culture Clash before as a dancer, and this year she will be a coach for the first time.
Martina was invited top 4 best Italian b-girls at the last Redbull bcone chyper Italy. In 2013 Martina was selected to dance in the opening of Vasco Rossi’s live tour. From 2014 she is a member of the hiphop crew Tribal Gantz and the breaking crew Fresh Mod.

Andreas Barison Sanchez – Coach Sweden
Andreas Barison Sanchez is the coach for the Swedish team. Sanchez was part of the first edition of Culture Clash as a coach. Now Sanchez is back! Sanchez understands that the essence of any culture is its roots and history. For him, to be good at something and to contribute to a community you first need to have a solid foundation and also understand why you are doing what you are doing.
In his classes, he aims to create a space where you can deepen your knowledge and understanding of house dance and the culture surrounding it. Dance is a journey and only by taking all that you are can you create something original. At Juste Debout Nordic he took 2ndplace in 2016 and in 2019.

Emine Palabiyik – Coach Germany
Emine Palabiyik is the coach for the German team. All the German dancers are from Berlin. As a coach Emmy was 5 times winner of the Berlin Championship. She was a choreographer for tours of artists such as Peter Fox and Senna Gammour.
Among other things Emmy is working in several social children and youth projects as a dance coach and creative design of dance theater pieces and choreography. Also she works together with “culture makes strong” projects for talent campus and arts open world.

Alicja Kuśmierczak – Coach Poland
Alicja Kuśmierczak is the coach for the Polish team. Alicja is a dancer, choreographer and teacher. She trained as a professional dancer in Australia, New Zealand, USA and all around Europe. She was a member of the Royal Family in New Zealand, trained by Parris Goebel.
Alicja also performed in Tony Tzar’s piece at The Choreographer’s Carnival Los Angeles. Currently she working as a choreographer and teacher for Young Stars Dance in Poland.

Can Tohma – Coach Turkey
Can Tohma is the coach for the Turkisch team. Can is an artistic director, dance choreographer and performer who has been working with educational institutions and world-wide brands. Can studied international relations and politics. Can has led many national and international art projects as a performance artist throughout his 18-year career.
Can created the dance group Moon Star Crew which he trained for 5 years and became the first professional urban dance group in Turkey. In addition to this he is one of the main organizers of the international dance event “Izmır Youth and Dance Festival”. IYDF has been held in Izmir city for the past 8 years and is one of the biggest youth festivals that many European and American dancers and artists join. Can’s main aim is creating opportunities for the upcoming artists to be interactive with international artists and develop their skills by experiencing artworks of different cultures.

Meet our teammember
Justin Hall – Coach The Netherlands
Justin Hall started with producing music at the Kids van Amsterdam Oost. Later he also joined the dance crew Faceless and started giving hiphop classes.
Justin participated in the Move like Michael Jackson competition and was on national television with this program. He started his own dance crew ‘The Incredible Kidsz’ and became hiphop world champion. Justin also danced in China.
Justin joined Culture Clash two times before as a dancer, and is now for the first time coach for the Dutch team.
